What this website collects

Only what you type into its forms: your email address, name, restaurant or group name, number of stores and QuickBooks edition when you start a trial; the day, time, phone number and note when you ask for a setup call; and your email address when you join the invoice scanner waitlist. Like most websites, our host also keeps basic request logs, such as IP addresses and browser type.

How we use it

To set up your trial and your license, to contact you about them and your setup call, and, if you joined the waitlist, to tell you when the invoice scanner is ready. We don't sell it or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

The app itself

OK Book Sync runs on the PC where QuickBooks Desktop lives. Your QuickBooks data stays on that PC. With a Toast API key, your Toast sales go from Toast to the app to QuickBooks and are not sent to us. Your Toast API key is encrypted for your Windows user on that PC.

If the app reads Toast's daily summary emails instead, you add an email address we make for you (sales-…@okbooksync.com) in Toast. Toast's daily email for each of your stores comes to us, and the app downloads it with your license key. We keep each email 30 days so a PC that was off can still get it, then delete it. Nobody else can download them, and we don't read them or use them for anything else. Toast's all-locations and weekly emails aren't kept at all.

Once you enter a license key, the app checks your plan with this website about once a day. It sends the key, a random number that tells your PCs apart, the app's version, and a code for each store turned on (made from Toast's store ID, so a store set up on two PCs is billed once). Nothing else.

Payments

Subscriptions are paid through Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. We keep what Stripe tells us about your plan: whether it's paid up, and for how many stores.

Cookies

This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. Its fonts load from Google Fonts.

Your choices

Ask us to remove your details at any time, and we will.

If this changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
